We've been working with ESC for about 6 months as they provide overnight care for my Dad in a seniors residence. I can only say good things about this team. They are responsive, professional and look for ways to go above and beyond. My highest accolade though is the focus they put on communication. They reach out to me regularly telling me of any issue that have arisen and any recommendations or solutions they would suggest. They also react promptly to any concerns, recommendations, or struggles I bring to them. I so value their collaborative approach. Of note, they are in place to support my Dad... but freely offer help and assistance to my Mom as well. Clearly they see them both as clients and step in as needed. This is marvellous! Last, the residence my parents are in have some staff available to support my folks, just not the amount of hours we need, hence contracting with ESC. ESC have seamlessly coordinated with the residential team. On occasion they encourage me to communicate directly with the residential team but it is clear they are regularly connecting directly as needed. My mom, who is in a wheelchair, needed transportation between her care center and a funeral in Calgary. The team at Ephraim were very easy to work with. I was extremely pleased with Jeff and Hazel who were gentle, caring, accommodating, respectful, and patient during the process of loading, unloading, and transporting mom in the wheelchair van. I included two other passengers to escort mom and that was not a problem. The van was comfortable and very clean. Everything went as planned. I would recommend Ephraim and would use this service again. She was in Foothills and Carewest recovering from severe delerium and needed additional support and care. The Ephraim Aides were very professional, knowledgeable and worked very well with the hospital staff. We contribute a large part of Liz's amazing recovery directly to the quality of care provided by Emphraim staff. After each shift the Aides provided very detailed notes on the care provided and offered suggestion to improve care that were always appropriate and appreciated.
